VOLUNTEERS @

What Volunteers Offer Us at SpeedDart Sport NT
Each session requires the presence of referees, these individuals keep matches fair and players honest. They ensue that rounds run smoothly.
To be a referee requires an in-depth understanding of the rules and the attendance of at least one training session.
Volunteers can provide an excellent experience for new people coming in, as well as sharing their experiences into the sport, widening the SpeedDart Network.
What you could do to help!
There are a wide range of volunteer opportunities at SpeedDart Sport NT. Here’s a glimpse into some of the key roles you can get involved in:
Become a Referee
Each session requires referees to maintain fairness and honesty during matches, ensuring smooth and timely rounds.
Becoming a referee involves a solid understanding of the rules and participation in at least one training session. Referees are key to creating a positive experience for new players and helping expand the SpeedDart network.
Blaster Maintenance
Meet and Greet
Blasters will inevitably need maintenance during sessions due to heavy use. Volunteers can help by assisting with the upkeep of hireable blasters, ensuring that they remain in good working condition.
Volunteers involved in maintenance will gain hands-on experience and knowledge of the blasters used during sessions.
Set up and Pack Up
Coaching
Promotional Events
Tournaments
SpeedDart continues to grow as a sport, bringing in new members every month. Established Volunteers will be required to meet and greet these new players to help teach rules and regulations, and provide players a network of people to ask questions too.
Volunteers can assist with setting up and packing down equipment for each session, ensuring that everything is ready for a smooth start and finish.
Each contribution will earn royalty points, earning the members a free entry into a SpeedDart session.
Tournaments are a key part of the SpeedDart calendar and rely on the support of volunteers to ensure they run smoothly. Volunteers are needed in roles such as:
Ticketing and Stalls
Team Management
Logistical Oversight
Match Referees
Crowd Management
These roles will vary depending on the specific tournament, and the required tasks will be communicated closer to the event date.
As competitive SpeedDart is growing with more team registrations monthly, we are looking for people who wish to contribute to the sport, by teaching their skillset to players. These are individuals who have prior experience within the field, whether it would be other sports, skirmish style games, or basic tactics / skillsets from Defence / Emergency Services.
An understanding of these tactics can provide players an opportunity to fine tune their skills on the court, giving them a leg up in tournaments against other states or countries.
As the sport grows, SpeedDart attends various events to promote the game and increase awareness. Volunteers will assist in activities such as demos, interviews, and helping at promotional stalls.

Why Volunteer?
As SpeedDart continues to grow, we need people with expertise in various areas—whether it’s from other sports, tactical games, or military/emergency services experience. Volunteers with this knowledge can help players refine their skills, giving them a competitive edge in local and international tournaments.
